XRiller Polishing

The problem with wire-edge at XRiller helical knives. Some already sold XRiller have a quite troublesome problem one of the helical knives stops to roll and begin to plough the ski running surface SRS.
It is absolutely not desirable because the key task of the XRiller treatment is to make a crisscross pattern not a longitudinal structure.
From another side XRiller has to knurl pattern not to cut pattern.
By this reason the helical knives have to roll. Part of very sharp helical knives has wire-edges burr on cutting edge.
Such burrs bend when they press and then seizes in ski base material.
Thus they are not able to roll they begin to plough. The solution is quite simple to clean off burrs.
To clean grind with sandpaper emery cloth abrasive sponge emery pad Scotch-Brite line and other grinding media. Kuzmin Ski Technology AB apologize for the troubles with our XRiller.
Sorry! Please polish yours own to avoid the problems. Since 10 November 2015 all XRiller already has extra polished edges no burrs.
